Artist's Comments

Still another piece in my "Visions" project: an ongoing exploration of fantasy; pre-Raphaelite; and Victorian classicism inspired images...this time, with a nod to the silent screen era stills, as well...

I adore the softness to this. I feel as if she's actually looking at me, unlike other photos, where it's just, 'Oh, let me look at the camera, because it'll look as if I have celebral palsy if I fail to do so.' But this, does not. :) Kudos!

The girl has a wonderful classical face. Great close-up. Just lovely as usual.

You always say the nicest things! :-) This little girl (she's 11 or 12, I think) is a real beauty--and you'd love the clouds of truly pre-Raphaelite hair she has, flowing down to her waist... (She's a little bit of a thing--her hair is three times fatter than she is! ;-))

I wish you didn't grow up so quickly. Oswald can see that ere long he will be too old for the kind of games we can all play, and he feels grown-upness creeping inordiously upon him. But enough of this.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! :-) She is a little beauty, and no mistake! :-) Here's a shot of her in a 1920's gown, taken a year earlier, in color, [link] that you might enjoy...

Thank you! :-) Although I must confess...as someone who does portraits primarily...I am now feeling like I should go and check out my other work--and make sure no one has that "It'll look as if I have cerebral palsy if I fail to look at the camera" look! ;-)

Thanks again for stopping by, and for taking the time to comment--

My pleasure! :-)

What a beautiful girl!
I'm sure she'll treasure the fact that you captured her so wonderfully.

Love is fed by the imagination, by which we become wiser than we know, better than we feel, nobler than we are: by which we can see Life as a whole ... Only what is fine can feed ... Love. But anything will feed hate.
:iconathansor:
Thank you--she IS a little darling, isn't she?! :-)
